Rent a Torah...

Someone asked me if this is Kosher:

My personal opinion is that it is not, simply because it violates just about every halakha in regards to handling a Sefer Torah.  However, I was wondering if anyone here had any other ideas.

  1. Maybe they send it detached and supply gid for the user to sew it back together.

Seriously, I think b'shas hadchak there ar ehetairim given to send a Sefer Torah by cargo, but it needs to be double wrapped and I'd be sure to crate it up properly so it wont be thrown about. Please don't rely on this as being accepted psak, obviously I would not dare sending it cargo without asking a very specific shailas Chochom. Much probably depends on the specifics of the case.

  3. Chas vesholom no one is calling anybody a fraudster or faker, someone just made a point about a seemingly curious service. I don't think it's an unfair question, but you are correct, that it's only fair rabbi Michael inquires himself if he wants full understanding
