circular text kesubah
Hi all,
I have a request from a customer to write a round, circular shaped kesubah. While I often write kesubos for private customers, I've never done this, nor do I know if it is halachically acceptable. Especially since the customer wants no border around the text.
Any insights?

If you really can't convince him to get a border around the round kesubbah, I suppose it would still be kosher as long as the shape of the document was clearly defined, allowing for easy recognition of any additions or forgeries. Even if this is only bedieved, I don't think you would need to decline the job because of this.

ReplyDeleteThe parchment is square and the text is round, similar to Albert's picture above only without the illustration.
