Question on vertical שרטוט

A friend of mine writes mezuzot by placing the klaf on a transparency. The length of the lines in the transparency is shorter than the distance from the right vertical  שרטוט  to the left vertical שרטוט . This results in a blank space being left at the end of each line between the end of the line and the left vertical שרטוט , as seen in the picture below.
How kosher is it?

    I will leave it to the Poskim on the forum to answer your question, but this issue can be avoided altogether in the future by simply adding in new side-sirtut before starting to write.

    Or after. (I believe R' Akiva Eiger writes in a Teshuva that if the Sirtut fades, just be Mesartet .)

    עי' בביאור הלכה סי' ל"ב ס"ז ד"ה וי"א שצריך וכו' שכ' לגבי שרטוט מן הצדדים "ונראה דבדיעבד אין להחמיר בזה אפי' במזוזה". ובשו"ע הרב או"ח סי' ל"ב ס"ח כ' להדיא דאפי' בתפילין השרטוט מן הצדדים אינו אלא חומרא.

    ומש"כ הגרע"א בשו"ת סי' נ', הובא בפתחי תשובה ביו"ד סי' רפ"ח סק"ה, דפסול אם לא שרטט מתחילה ולא מועיל לשרטטו אח"כ, י"ל דזה רק גבי שרטוט השורות ולא מן הצדדים. ומה גם דבנדו"ד שפיר שרטט רק דיש ריוח בין הכתב להשרטוט ולא דמי לנדון שבשו"ת הגרע"א מכמה טעמים. ויש להאריך בכל החילוקים בין שרטוט הצדדין לשרטוט השורות ואיכה"מ.

    Whether this is comparable to no side sirtut as is I'm not sure but the side sirtut can be added afterwards. As R' Eitan suggested, the sofer should make a 2nd side sirtut prior to starting.

Possibly, as said here before, because in the olden days ink was always  מן המותר בפיך and the question was never raised. It was probably self-evident. The forum is back online...for reference and research purposes.

 Dear Readers and Members, The forum has been down for over 6 months because the domain name (www.stamforum.com) lapsed and it is no longer available to re purchase. Although this forum is now defunct (it has morphed into several whatsapp groups), I have had many requests to put it back online because it contains so much information (over 1,800 posts and thousands of comments in the discussions, on a wide range of topics related to STa"M). I have therefore put the forum back online at blogger, so the address is www.stamforum.blogspot.com. The forum lasted for a decade...not a bad effort! It was pretty popular back in the days before whatsapp and managed to receive over a million hits in it's short life. It was one of the only organised forums in the  STa"M world and definitely the largest in it's heyday.
