Heshy this "hechsher" has been around for more than a few years, it's an abomination and outright fraud.
ReplyDeleteConsumers (via rabbis and the mainstream jewish educational avenues) simply need to be taught that sadly the industry is rife with fraud, many of the shopkeepers have no idea what they are buying or selling, and the only way to be sure you are buying something kosher is to purchase from a reliable and ordained sofer / magiha who HAS CHECKED THE ITEM HIMSELF.
These mezuahs are b'chezkas psul. This "hechsher" has been around for decades. The Rabbanut, Edah, Misheres STaM and the like are the ones to inform the public and try and stop this.
ReplyDeleteI believe I discuss this type of "hechsher" in my book and may even have pictures. I also made a poster titled "frauds and scribbles" to share when I do a campaign, showing samples of these so called hechsherim and samples of the "ksav".
I think these are old mezuzos.
ReplyDeleteMany were packaged by a bearded jew in Boro park
